‘Ozark’ Season 2 Trailer: Marty Breaks Bad While Facing Off with New Adversaries (VIDEO)

When ‘Ozark’ season 2 returns on August 31, Marty Byrde and his family are facing all new obstacles as they settle into their new life away from Chicago.

At the end of ‘Ozark’ season 1, Marty attempted to squash a beef with local gangsters the Snell family by teaming them up with his drug cartel connection but the end result was disastrous as his contact Del was shot at killed on site.

Now as ‘Ozark’ season 2 picks up, the Mexican cartel has sent a new contact to deal with Marty while he continues to navigate the murky waters of his relationship with the Snell family. Add to that, Marty’s local lieutenant Ruth Langmore is dealing with her own set of problems after her father is released from jail.

“In its much-anticipated second season, Ozark continues to follow Marty Bryde and his family as they navigate the murky waters of life within a dangerous drug cartel. With Del out, the crime syndicate sends their ruthless attorney Helen Pierce to town to shake things up just as The Byrdes are finally settling in. Marty and Wendy struggle to balance their family interests amid the escalating dangers presented by their partnerships with the power-hungry Snells, the cartel and their new deputy, Ruth Langmore, whose father Cade has been released from prison. The stakes are even higher than before and The Byrdes soon realize they have to go all in before they can get out.”
