Terminator Reboot Adds Mackenzie Davis to the Cast

The upcoming Terminator reboot from director Tim Miller has added Mackenzie Davis in a pivotal role…

Mackenzie Davis — best known for her roles on Halt and Catch Fire as well as The Martian and Bladerunner 2049 as well as Black Mirror — has been cast in the upcoming Terminator reboot from director Tim Miller.

The movie will also star Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton with original Terminator creator James Cameron returning to the franchise for the first time since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Details about the plot for the new Terminator movie are being kept under lock and key but Davis will reportedly play a soldier-assassin in the upcoming film that’s expected to serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2 rather than carrying on the canon from other movies made past that one.

Schwarzenegger is reprising his role after first starring in The Terminator back in 1984 as well as Hamilton, who will play heroine Sarah Connor.

Plans are in place for the new Terminator film to spawn a trilogy of movies with the first set for release on July 26, 2019.
