‘The X-Files’ Season 11 Trailer Teases a Global Apocalypse (VIDEO)

Check out the new trailer for ‘The X-Files’ season 11 due out in 2018…

When we last left Agents Mulder and Scully, a bright light appeared from the sky — perhaps an alien craft or a visit from their long lost son William? — but now we’re getting our first look at ‘The X-Files’ season 11 and it appears roles have been reversed.

The end of the last season of ‘The X-Files’ revival ended with Mulder being infected with a deadly Spartan virus — a disease meant to wipe out all of humanity minus the few select people chosen to carry on the species after they were dosed with alien DNA that would save their lives.

Scully already had the alien DNA injected into her and Mulder was offered the same courtesy from his old pal the Cigarette Smoking Man, but refused. Unfortunately that meant Mulder fell ill and was near death with Scully believing the only way they could save him was to find William and use his DNA to stave off the infection.

Well it appears as ‘The X-Files’ season 11 gets underway, Mulder is back in action but this time it’s Scully who is laid up in a hospital bed offering her partner an ominous warning, seemingly about their son.

Add to that we see a younger — without a burned off face — Cigarette Smoking Man as he talks about the global apocalypse that will wipe out mankind in one fell swoop.

From the look of things, it’s a rather dire situation that befalls us when ‘The X-Files’ season 11 kicks off with the debut date most likely in January 2018.

Check out the trailer and follow along with Nerdcore Movement as we will recap the entire season next year!
